Safe Point San Diego is the only City-sanctioned Clean Syringe Exchange Program (CSEP) in San Diego County. Safe Point San Diego's goals are to reduce the transmission of Hepatitis C and HIV through education and awareness.  Safe Point San Diego offers wrap around services that include case managment, testing for HIV, STD's,  and Hepatitis C, educational workshops, assisted referrals to drug treatment and other support services.  The program operates from a mobile unit two days a week at City-approved sites in Downtown San Diego and North Park.

Safe Point San Diego, Clean Syringe Exchange program is an anonymous-confidential program open to everyone.   The program provides a one-for-one exchange, with a cap of 30.  New clients may receive an initial harm reduction kit, which includes 2 clean syringes.   After the initial visit, only the one-for-one exchanges are permitted.
